Okay this is so cute. I have this birdhouse out in the back on the deck and Joey always sits with the little pig on top. I think they are good friends, because Joey doesn't get seed stolen from him by this guy. Joey is queen of the deck though and chases all the other chipmunks away from the back area, because that is her domain. It is so weird to go out in the backyard and yell for your chipmunk to come and minutes later she appears. Where is she? Where is she sleeping?
Today when I arrived home, I got her a couple of cherries and some almonds and she sat on my lap and ate them. It was amusing to see her stick four, count em, four almonds in his cheek pouches and then munch on a cherry in his hands. After I had to tell her to go wash as her front paws were covered in red cherry juice. She is still so cute. But FEISTY. That's the wild in them. They should never in my opinion be kept as pets. They would not be happy or do well. They can become aggressive and they bite very hard when they are cornered or feel threatened.
I have to hit the hay right now, but I'll have some stories of Joey's week, tomorrow. Sunday, yeah!
